The technician said that was fine, but we still needed to pay him for the “service call” for coming out. Didn’t want to waste $149 for an unclear explanation, we had him work on the garden faucet in the backyard for $352. My conversation with Brian gave me high hopes for 5 Star Plumbing but the lack of communication and transparency from the technician was disappointing. Example of transparency: the company we went with gave us 3 options with a thorough explanation in writing for each option. Thanks for the experience.

The quote was $250 - $350 depending on what they have to do.
They arrived, snaked the toilet and left within 5 - 8 minutes (We have security surveillance on-site).
We had to provide our credit card to have a repair person dispatched. They auto billed the service and emailed me the receipt for payment.
$458 to snake the toilet, and not the entire line. They gave us a discount. But, this seems high. I'm worried about what it would cost if it backs up again. I can't imagine how much more a more timely and involved repair would cost.
I'll revise my review if we have a reoccurrence, or use their services for another project.
Again, their response time and friendliness is 5 star!!!

I have an old claw foot bathtub and one end of the water service line was 3/4 on an inch - which they don’t make anymore. This was WAY too much for the work they would do, so I had the plumber take the service lines off and declined any further services. He knocked on my door a few minutes later saying the company approved him giving me a discount for $350. I declined again ad this whole situation was a red flag. I went to Ace and bought two service lines, two 3/4 inch to 1/2 inch adapters and some latex Teflon tape all for less than $30. I did all of the repair myself and 2 hours later I was done. How is that worth $750? If the argument for price is a “confined space” - well then please show me any plumbing set up that is not in a confined space. This company is shady and wants to mark up the price based on the zip code you live in. The job they had to do was very straightforward and simple. I can’t imagine what they would charge for an actual serious plumbing problem. I would search for a more trustworthy company to work with.

Xfinity had come to install cable and drilled into something on our tankless water heater. They shut off the water and asked that I call a plumber.
I called and scheduled a plumber to come out to diagnose the problem.
Initially Xfinity … More said it might be the tank, but this is why you hire a professional to diagnose. A plumber was “dispatched” and said he could not fix it until he ordered a new tankless water heater. He then said his estimate was either $3600 or $3800.
Comcast sent their supervisor out and within less than 10 min could tell it was not the unit that was hit, it was a simple external copper pipe. We paid about $140 and nothing was solved or diagnosed properly. if it had not been for the Comcast crew that knows plumbing and construction, we would hav been out $3600, or actually Comcast would.
Then the plumber came out to repair the external pipe and this is how he left the 2x4 he torched.
I’ll never hire another plumber who hires out subs to do working under a domain name who has not ties to workman. Go direct to an independent.
